Default Possible Transmission Trouble

Hey. I've got a 91 740 Turbo Wagon with 170K+ miles on it. Since I've owned it (for about 6 months now.) it's been shifting roughly. The only close-to-smooth shift is 3-4. Last night, after topping the fuel tank off, I figured that I would punch on the way home. You know, good for the turbo to wind it up occasionally. So when it gets to the end of second gear, it feels like it loses all power, and then it shifts to third after about 2 to 3 seconds. Once it's in third, the turbo gauge starts jumping spiratically at the non-boost half of the gauge. I checked the transmission fluid, and the first time I pulled out the stick, it was dry. So I dropped it back in and checked it again, but this time it was covered to the full line.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Possible Transmission Trouble

Check the Kick down cable for adjustment and make sure it isn't seized.
