Default Replaced Fuel Pump Now Dies Coming to Stop

95 940 Turbo Wagon. Few weeks ago had the fuel pump and filter replaced. Now when have 1/4 tank or less engine dies when coming to stop unless it's a very slow stop. Today with 1/4 tank, died when making a sharp turn going slow. Always starts back up no problem. Before I take it back I would like to have an idea what the problem could be. Is there and could it be gas pickup tube not long enough or facing the correct way? Any other ideas on what it could be?
Thanks

there's 2 fuel pumps on most volvo 2/7/9's, a 'booster' or 'feeder' pump in the gas tank, and the main pump under the car. they will run fine with a dead booster pump if there's at least 1/2 tank, but the main pump will be noisy because it will be working too hard.

They replaced the one in the fuel tank. Runs fine between 1/2 tank and 1/4 tank. Just when it gets below 1/4 tank does it dies when coming to stop, especially when going down hill. Also when making sharp turn. That's why I thought maybe not getting fuel when sloshing around. Runs fine when driving while low on gas. Don't hear other fuel pump making any noise.

If this is indeed the situation, you do a have problem and it logically is related to the work the shop did on the fuel pump. Hard to say exactly what's wrong but there are several things that can make the pump starve when tank is below 1/4 full.

I'd go back to the shop and share my concerns with them, they should be responsible. Those in tank pumps can be tricky...
