Default steering rack: replace or not???

hey now

so im doing a complete rebuild of my volvo 240's front suspension
the balljoints, tie rod ends, struts etc. have been shot for some time and the car wobbles all over the place. admittedly, ive let this go for too long.
the question is, should i replace my steering rack along with all the other parts, it seems like it might be a good idea, as it would be an easy job with all the rest of the front suspension dismantled, and im sure driving the car with all that slop in the steering put alot of stress on the unit. however, it does not leak, and im not really sure how to tell if theres anything wrong with that particular part. should i play it safe and just replace the thing? or leave it alone?

I wouldn't , unless its hard to steer.

I got my 740 for $500 because the PO thought it needed a steering rack, it didn't.
