Transmission Fluid Questions..
I checked my transmission fluid again tonight. It doesn't smell that bad. The only way I can describe it is like rain water on cement smell. I'm not sure if you know of the smell I'm talking about, but I assume it isn't bad. I felt it. It didn't feel gritty. It still felt smooth and not sticky.
I bought the IPDUSA.COM transmission flush kit and it worked fine....all you get is that hose with the right fittings....and some instructions. The fittings is what you really are buying...and it makes the job so much easier...and less spills...
but the vinyl hose that would fit snug on the fluid line would work...there is no insane psi on the line at idle...
a funnel with a vinyl tube and a twist on/off handle worked great for me...

ATF is automatic transmission fluid, yeah, same thing. dexron III is the right type of ATF for these gearboxes.
the transmission cooler lines are on the right side of the radiator, they are thinner lines, like 3/4" or something, instead of the fatter coolant lines.

One of the major problem is to control the transmission fluid. Whenever you face problem in your car's transmission, must reach out to best automatic transmission repair shop. They will guide you how to check and change the fluid.
I doubt they will give you a guide. No shop will do that. They may change the fluid for you or advise you on some other procedure you may or may not need, that's what shops do. Sounds like someone is trying to drum up business... Besides, it's a 2013 post!
