So finally getting around to try to replace my fuel door that broke off, the back side of the door itself doesn't have anything on it so I don't know if there should be a hinge on the back of the door, as well as the black one on the car ? Help if you have a picture of your volv 940 1995 wagin backside of fuel door could you post it please ? Thank you

Off of my 940 volvo how does it snap onto the hinge ? Seems like there should be a rod or something ?

 

You need the hinge but there is also a spring which I don't see. Not sure if anyone sells it separately, try Voluparts. All 7/900 series use that part.

 

That spring is about $25 most everywhere online.

I always take them from the junkyard and have never been charged for them. I've got about a dozen I believe.

I ordered the springs and hinge, but I don't understand what the hinge connects to on the door, it's upposed to snap onto the door some way, but the holes on that side don't have anything for it to snap on to. Maybe it will come with I structions, have seen many videos but it never shows how the hinge attaches to the door..

 

The door has two holes on the horizontal tabs, the hinge snaps into them. I can't tell by the picture if your holes are intact. If they are broken you can't attach the hinge.

 

Thank you that's what I needed to know, the holes under are not broken . So I will attempt to ut it all together now when it arrives. Thx.
