850 back box muffler diversion pipe
Hey guys! This is my first volvo forum thread, and was just womdering peoples oppinions. I recently got an old 1996 850 GTL. It didn't come with a generic back box as it was rusty and damaged, so my friend gave me a big exhaust to use.
When we were fitting the new exhaust, I saw there was a pretty large muffler towards the back half of the car. This prevents me from getting a nice sound and resonance through the new exhaust.

this is the muffler I want to bypass.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Does anyone know the easiest way to remove the large muffler and replace with a stainless section?
Thanks

I mean is there a part I can already buy that replaces the muffler instead of fabricating one. I just don't have the time. I dont need a full exhaust, just a section of pipe that can be inserted instead of the muffler?
