Default Blower Motor Installation Problem

Well i've been working on getting at it all day and finally got to the point of where I can remove it.

There is a BLACK METAL deal in the way, on it says SRS. How to I take this out or move it enough to make room for the blower motor?

Thanks in advance!

The black thing you are referring to is probably the knee padding guard; see attached.

The thing has nothing to do with the SRS, it only has a precautions label on it. It is held in place with 12 (14mm?) mmnuts x3 (I could be wrong, as I no longer have my 850 and I did the repair 2 years ago).

Make sure that the ignition key is out (I disconnect the negative battery cable even though it is a pain) and remove the SRS wiring (quick disconnect type). After the padding is out of the way, disconnect some of the wirings attached to the blower motor and you should be able to gain full access to it. A Torx screw + an extension bar are handy.

Let us know if you encounter another difficulty.

I concur with JPN.DIsconnect the battery and remove the black brace. That is what I always have done
