A/C compressor?

So when I turn the air on it blows hot air. I got out to listen to the compressor and it turns off and on quite frequently. Does this sound like a bad compressor?

Sounds like low freon. you should check the pressure on the system. if it's low, have it serviced with freon with dye in it. then check for leaks 2 weeks later. replace the leaking parts.

If you do not see any obvious leaks, your evaporator is more than likely the culprit. You may have to pull the passenger knee bolster down, and panels, and remove the heat sink to check it.
