Default clunking noise from the drivers side

I have a 1995 850 GLT sedan, my driveway is kinda rough and I hear a clunking noise from the drivers side. What should I look for?

Most likely the sway bar link. Take off the tire on the side of clunking, stick a crowbar between the sway bar and the frame, and push down on the sway bar. If there is movement where the vertical sway bar link connects to the sway bar you need to replace the sway bar link. Easiest repair you could ever have!

Not to say red chicken is wrong, you may have an issue with that also but 100% of 850's as well as other models have the same spring seat issue every now and then..
Ive done mine 3 times in 16 years

I actually have what can be best described as a plastic-y clunk sound. Mine appears to be the spring seat. What I did to test mine was:

- pop open the hood
- push down on the car
- if you see movement on the strut cap, the spring seat is your likely
culprit
