Default Front Shock/Strut Dead

Hi All

Just did the L/H side spring seat today along with the link bar and it appears that my strut is dead.

I assume that you shouldnt be able to push or pull it by hand (full extension through to full compression)

I was thinking of Bilstein Touring, but has anyone had the OEM's regassed? I used to have a VL Commodore (Aussie car made by Holden but that model had a Nissan Skyline engine ) that I had the struts regassed on. Is it even possible on an 850?

Interestingly, just the link and the spring seat has made a hell of a difference in handling. It now handles much better than the 360 does! Shocks that actually work (and control arm bushes) will probably help more too.

Cheers

William

I think re-gassing the struts is an exercise in futility. I have used the Bilstein TCs on my platinum and they improve the handling but the also have a slightly rougher ride. It largely depends on how and where you drive. I drive very hard on twisty and hilly roads and they are perfect. If you want the best ride just go back with OEM Sachs/Boge.
