How much work is involved in replacing rear suspension bushing?
i`m going to buy a 1997 volvo 850 t5 with 160,000 km and auto transmission. only problems are a seized ac compressor(which he bypassed with a smaller belt) and the rear suspension bushings. How much time and money would it cost to do myself vs a mechanic. I would think its fairly easy, about 3 hours and $75, but i never worked on a volvo before...
I know i didnt provide much info or pics, but do you think $1500 is a good deal for the volvo considering average condition+ it comes with winter tires and rims.
the timing belt has 60,000 km on it but its atleast 5 years old. the pcv system hasnt been serviced but he said its not smoking through the dipstick at idle. engine/tranny strong.
And for anyone living near quebec, they seem to be hogging all the t5 5 speeds. i saw like 8 of them on kijiji for $1500-2500.
