Default Mystery Problem

I have a 1995 850 Turbo

Recently I swapped the front engine mount, radiator and did the PCV maintenance. Upon completing that fun I went to start the car and it turned on and ran roughly for about 30 seconds. The car then abruptly made a loud pop as the passenger side oil cooler feed line blew off spraying oil everywhere. I promptly cursed the clip which I believed to have failed and then replaced the line in it's appropriate position with a new clip.

The car has never started again. It turns over, gets fuel to the rail and spark to at least spark plug 1 (I have not tried all of them). There are no blown fuses in the fuse box behind the firewall and everything electrical appears to be connected.

I did not have a code reader and did not want my battery to die so the negative terminal was disconnected after everything. There was a code before I started the job which I never checked so I do not know if it ever through a code either. The onboard diagnostics show no codes either.

The car was in good running condition minus some bad fuel economy and rough running in cold weather upon starting it. I figure that was vacuum/pcv related and did find a vacuum leak that I repaired when performing the maintenance.

Any ideas for me?

Did you replace the PCV hose that goes around the side of the motor?
If so check the cam position sensor plug and make sure it did not fall apart and come unplugged.

Yes I did and replace the line to the PTC nipple and I just checked the cam sensor and it is still plugged in.

Ok I would check for injector pulse. Also make sure all the terminals are seated good in the gray relay on top of the radiator.

I checked the terminals and they seem well seated. How do you check for injector pulse? I have checked the bleed valve on the fuel rail and there is fuel to the rail.

There is a tool that you would plug into one of the plugs from the injectors. It is called a noid light. Your local parts store might rent them out for you to test with.

One of the lights will replace one of the injectors. Plugs into the harness and flashes as it receives a pulse signal from the computer.

Oreilly or Autozone have them that I know of. Tool loan, doesn't cost you anything once you return them.
Autozone part # 27161

Thank you, I will try and get that tool this week. Medical student/car mechanic is not the best combination for getting these things done though.
