Question Picture identification - What is this???

While working on my driver side fog light, I noticed this canister with a split vacuum tube. So I fixed it (shortened it). What is it and is there something suppose to be connected to the other connection end. It is located just in front of the drivers side front wheel.

The picture is a little hard to make out. But there should be I believe 2 lines connected and one port open.

Cool That may be it. It has a GM lable on it. I should have taken a better picture or one from further back. I was a little frustrated after breaking a screw off in my fog light bracket.

Now I know why my brother walked around mad all the time. Frustrated from working on his HOT ROD. lol
