Default Question about swapping turbo: washers

I am going to be swapping my turbo when I put my exhaust on this weekend, and had a question regarding the crush washers for the oil (and coolant?) lines that go to the turbo.

Does anyone know what size I need for this? Also, is it something I should get at the volvo dealership or is it something i can just get at advance or something? thanks!

I forget the exact size. You can get them at any parts store that carries them.
I usually like to match to the bolts to make sure I get the proper ones.
BTW they are all the same size though. So you will need 6 total.

I would go to the dealership. You need two different sizes.

6 of 947282
2 of 947621

However, I would get a handful of both. Something that is nice to have extra of.

Don't forget the larger ones of the oil feed line at the block. Those are larger, don't know if he has to remove them, but if he does, he'll need those.

These are sometime that I always just go to the dealership for, never thought of going to the hardware store for them.

And DO NOT reuse them, or you'll be doing the same job in a couple days.

Both of those part numbers come back as fuel filter seal parts. And where do i need them for? I was thinking that there are 4 on the turbo. are we assuming that i detach all the lines from the block as well, so that I am replacing 4 on the turbo itself and 4 where the respective lines go back?

There is 6 for the lines to the turbo. And if you remove the oil feed line to the block you need to 2 larger ones.

And BTW I think they use them on the 4 cylinder cars and 960's for the fuel filters.

thanks for the info. Correct me if im wrong, but i also need the gasket and rubber o-ring for the oil return line, right?

And is the line 2 piece? is that why you need more than 1 per end? Or is it a matter of using one on top and one on the bottom of the banjo bolt? Or do you double them up on one side?

I'm not doubting anyone or anything, just trying to get a clearer picture of where these little buggers go....

You do need a new gasket and o-ring as well.
One washer per side of the banjo fitting.
Not that I know of do they sell it as a kit.

Thanks everyone. that simplifies things. I already have the gasket and O ring. I'm assuming that its 2 for the oil inlet, 2 for the coolant inlet, 2 for the coolant outlet, and the gasket/o ring for the oil outlet. Am I correct on that? Oh, and the 2 larger ones for the oil lines on the block.

Am I missing anything else?

That should be it. Those PNs are straight from VADIS, so they should be correct.

So, yet another problem here....surprise surprise...

It seems that, depending on who you ask, the copper washers at the turbo are either 12x18c1.5mm or they are 12x15.5x1.5mm.

Both cannot be right, so which one is it? Oh, and my stealer says they cant get them for me for a week. I hate dealerships.

Well, there are two different sizes. Are you sure the larger ones aren't for the oil feed line at the block? And the smaller ones are for the turbo? When you order them, stock up. Because you shouldn't reuse them, so they're not a bad, inexpensive, part to have a small stock pile of.

According to whats been posted so far, the oil feed lines at the tuurbo are 12x18x1.5, but im also seeing them listed as 12x15.5x1.5.

The ones that go to the block seem to all be listed as 14x18x1.5
