Default Sport / Econ switch no lights...

My transmission mode switch does not light up in either sport or economy mode. I am net getting the arrow on the dash for winter mode either. All seem to function OK but no lights any ideas?

May have a TCM problem. I would disconnect the battery, pull the ECU boxes, make sure the prongs look good and hook it back up.

Like he said. If you can feel the difference when you activate the switch it's more than likely it's just the indicator bulb in the switch that's bad.

I'm not sure if there is also a bulb that would illuminate it when the dash lights are on. Mine doesn't but I think it should. Maybe someone can clear that up

I have tried two switches. Once the second one which is a known good switch(saw it light up before removing it) did not turn on I posted here. Does winter mode light on the dash illumimate when the key is turned forward? If so that may be blown or disconected and gives me another place to turn.

Does this help

In case you have a sharp eye, this isn't my panel it's a photo I borrowed. The Check engine light is a green kind of triangle, it's European.

Awesome! my arrow does not come on at start up. I have another light out in the cluster so will be looking at that Diy as well.

So for plans this weekend.

1. go through the "pcv" system
2. get my horns working
3. change the gasket on my oil cap.
4. sort through the dash light situation
