It's mounted to the bumper frame rail thing. If you take off the bumper and then the bumper support, it's mounted to that piece of metal behind there.

Car's running and it sounds great. Just won't hold a charge, had to have my Dad jump it after it was sitting all day with the door's open. Going to throw in a new battery, after all, the one in there is only 9 years old. lol

Did u forget I purchased a 244 last year? I sold it so I could acquire a 245 but after I sold mine, the owner of the wagon I wanted backed out of the deal...... I am still sitting on the plate" waiting for something else

Well, took her out for her first spin. She drove beautifully, until I found out where that little white piece of plastic came from when we were installing the shifter cables, the ball seat is toast for the shifter. Soooooo, ordering one tomorrow so I can get that in on it. And then we'll be golden. I'll definitely post up some finished pics and video. I put on a japan exh manifold and damn, did it make a difference in exhaust note. Way lower and a little throatier, sounds great.

Old shifter assembly is out. I also got the **** and boot off without having to break or wreck either of them, unfortunately I ordered a new **** and boot this morning because I thought I was going to have to destroy mine to get them off. lol. Oh well, I'll just have a fresh ****, nothing wrong with that.

Oh, and I found a step by step write up on how to do it on VS, thank god.

Lol, both tabs were broken off of the ball seat, nothing was holding it down, that would explain the limited shifter movement.

I thought about it, but I really like where it sits. And if you cut it down, do you have to put new grooves into it? Or what do you do?

I just cut the part off and put the **** back on.
This way if I wanted to remove it again I could easily. So I did not cut any grooves.

Oh really? Hm. I don't, I might just leave it, I don't mind the height at all, and if I get a short shift kit for it, I kind of want it to stay the same height.

Do they still make that special tool to remove and install the shifter cables onto the shifter?
