Yeah, we'll see how it works out, I don't think it would be too hard, the biggest thing would be making it so I can take it out for whatever reason if I have to.

Score dude! Find a way to cover it up though. Make it so you can only see it when you need it. Sleeper status.

Maybe, I kind of want it available for adjusting it, maybe I'll mount it in the glove box or something, that would be sweet too. I'm not sure. I think I'm kinda throwing interior sleeper status out the window with the big A pillar 3 gauge pod.

Hey, I figured this would be a good time to ask this since I'm going to be having my car taken apart soon. It's about A/C. HA. I haven't had AC in my car for as long as I can remember, what would happen is that when you turned on the AC, there would be a small intermittent psh sound coming from the bottom front half of the car. Not only that but there would be a brief RPM drop, only a couple hundred, if that. Any thoughts? I would kind of like to have my AC back.

Its normal for a drop in RPMs as your introducing a load on the engine when the A/C clutch engages. The woosh noise could be the freon moving through the system. You really need to have gauges put on the system to see whats really happening. You could be low on freon, plugged expansion valve, contaminated system, a leak, etc.

My guess is that it's out of freon. I'm going to put on a new compressor, and probably replace the evaporator (woohoo).

Do you have the compressor? If not, its pretty pricey to replace I would have the system checked first. It may be as simple as a bad seal at one of the couplings. Just dont through parts at it not knowing what is wrong.

What do you think I should do first? Fog it? Do I have to take it to a shop to do that? I know it definitely needs a recharge. Maybe I'll check into have it fogged to see if there's any leaks.

The cheapest thing is to jump it so the compressor runs. Add freon and the dye kit and see what happens. Check for leaks.

I guess you can't buy freon in WI without a license. So either I have to take it somewhere and have it leak tested and then go from there, or just wing it and replace the compressor and evaporator. My dad said he has had it recharged a couple times while he was still driving it and it would last a few months, than blow warm air again. So I'm sure it's a leak. I bet that it's the evaporator, just because I read that those usually go first, but I don't want to replace that and then have it not be the problem. But I also don't want to spend the 150 dollars (quoted by Jenkins Volvo) to have it tested and then find it outs the evaporator.

R bumper put "on" tonight.

Everything went pretty smoothly, the only problem I had was that either way I tried I couldn't get one side to fit all the way on, as show in the pic:

It's like the bumper doesn't have enough flex, I don't know what to do. Anyone have any suggestions before I go out and buy a file and file some of the bumper down so the little piece fits?

Also, cams are out, no turning back now.

The messed up paint job. Valve cover is going out to get PC.

About your bumper skin. I was close to running into this when I put mine one. I hate to say if but the skin is off center. Its such a tight fit you must have it perfectly aligned ...AND...snapped in, in order for it to fit. I dont know what to offer at this point. I saw this happening when I was putting mine on and was able to move it just enough before I snapped it in.

Looking good by the way.

Did you start in the middle and work your way to the sides?

I think the best solution is just time, swearing, raw fingers and a lot of force. Looks good tho! I might do a Home Depot lip sometime soon.

Well I tried to redo. I took it back off and centered it and started from the middle and worked my way out to the sides. Now it instead of on side being way to short and the other side fitting perfectly, both sides are a just a tad short. So, I don't know what to do, when it's forced into place it doesn't line up with the holes to rivet it into place. I don't know if they changed the bumpers between 94 and 95 or what, but it's definitely not fitting right. Maybe I'll look for a 95+ parts car or start filing some of the bumper down.

Well, what the hell??? It seems like it's just too short. I really don't know how else I can put it on that will make it fit.
