I wonder if it is just not sitting flush all the way around from sitting off the car for so long.
Do you still have the top gray part from the wagon you can get and try using that one?

I don't, I sold that piece. Maybe letting it sit on the car for the week will let it reshape itself and straighten out. Next time I'm down there I'll just have to give 'er and pull it tight, I can't imagine it being different bumpers.

we had two of us last night. He was pulling on it while I was punching it in, but it's just that the clips only have so much play that I don't know if that's enough. We'll see, I'll back down there later tonight to see if I have any better luck with it after it's been sitting on the car longer

If tomorrow is a sunny day let it sit in the sun for a while to try to warm it up then mess with it.

Haha, nope, snow tonight and tomorrow and tomorrow night it looks like. Maybe next weekend. I'm going to try again tonight, we'll see how it goes.

Or if you have a portable heater bring it down and try to warm the bumper cover up first.

I was told that the bumpers may be slightly different between 93-94.5 and then 94.5+. Would you know what the difference was? I know this bumper has been replaced once, but it's such a tiny possibility of the pre 94.5 bumper going on.

The only difference is the 93 body style that has the different headlights.(Single bulb)
All the late 94-97's should all be the same. Also there was never a 93/early 94 R bumper in the U.S.

I know there was never an R bumper during those years. I was referring to if the dimensions of the bumper or tab placement could possibly be different. None the less, I went at it again later last night and it's getting a lot closer. I think sitting off of a car and all twisted in my wagon kind of deformed it, so with it sitting in place it's "stretching" out. I'll give it another go next weekend, hopefully I can get it then.

TECH!: Hey, how are you going to fix your bumper sag, because now I have a bit on the ends from beating up my bumper.

Also, to anyone applicable, who's running Bilstein TC and likes them? I'm thinking about getting the TC kit from FCP along with their lowering springs (10% off and free shipping FTW). I hear some people don't really like them, but I hear that some love them. From what I understand the ride is slightly stiffer than oem, but still a good DD set up, which is what I'm going for, and with lowering/sport springs, that's gotta stiffen them up a bit.

FCP: Very fast shipping on my water/timing belt kit and all the gaskets I needed. Can't wait to get the valve cover back so I can drop in my NA cams, time them, and reassemble the rest of my motor.

Got my fog lights for the bumper. They look good, I can't wait to fill those empty holes. Now I just have to figure out where the relay goes (pretty sure that's in bay13), and then the two "J relays", not sure where those go if any can help me out. Also have a fog light switch, any one know where the connector is for it behind the dash?

Gilber33,

You need to find out if your car is wired for them or not...mine was not. Search for your plugs for the bulbs. If you have them then your plumbed. The connector for the switch is yellow and should be back about 5 inches down the headlight harness in the dash...thats where my T5's harness was.

I'm pretty sure it is. I have a plug down by the bottom of my bumper support that plugs into dead socket, and it's similar in size and shape of these ones, that was on the driver side, so I just have to find the one for the passenger side.

Was the plug just like taped to the wires or something? Or just hanging out back there?

I don't think they all are, but I think most Turbos/T5s are.

My Turbo 850 was NOT wired for fogs. Gilber33, I have that same plug by the drivers headlamp. I did not have any other plug on the passenger side. In the dash I did not have the plug for the switch. I had the T-5R next to it to compare. I pulled the car apart trying to find it. I eventually pulled open the loom and it was not there. The t-5R harness had it...it was obvious. But, when I pulled the engine the two engine compartment harnesses were different. The one I have that is not plumbed has a main harness plug that attaches to the back of the drivers headlamp, its big you cant miss it. If you have this big quick release plug chances are you are not plumbed.

You have to swap out the headlight relay for the relay with fogs. Then the other 2 go inside under the dash.
I am trying to find the locations. I went through it with the wifes car. I cannot find the diagram I used for doing her car. When I find it I will post it.
