the car is 2009 USA model C30
the alarm does not work, I bought the car this way, there is no alarm system message, i have not seen any alarm problem with an OBD scanner,
the red LED indicator light does not show, the cars turn signals do flash 1 long time to indicate the alarm is on ( unless that is just the standard flash for car locking )
the panic button on the remote works for the car horn and flashing as intended ( just guessing though, prob has nothing to do with the alarm system)

if i try to set off the alarm while the car is locked IE leave windows down and open the door from inside there is no flashing lights
its as if there is no alarm system at all.

i had a s60 with faulty siren and the red LED still lit up
