How's the car going mate!

 

hey, the car is doing well, i'm just trying to get the next step of my interior done and thats the front seats. i see what i want, but i have to have the money up for them. then i'll get the carpet and hopefully a new head unit.

 

I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 15859. Also some of the forum sponsors magnaflow usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.

 

Just read this thread from beginning to end. I'm impressed. Very nice, PantyEater. Wish I had a little extra cash flow to put into my C70. Jealous of the red... It looks nice on the C70. Mine is the dark green color.. it looks good, just doesn't 'pop' like the red or white C70s do.

Personally I would have liked to see what they looked like on the car before you painted them and then afterwards.But they are very nice. There aren't a lot of people in the Volvo world that do gold rims and I think they look great on Volvo's. I saw one Volvo with like Bronzed Volans which were absolutely stunning.

 

those wheels were just black and once i painted them gold they stayed on the car for 3 weeks before they were stolen. i never had them on the car while they were black cause i know i would have been lazy and just left them black. i had a vision and wanted them gold.

 

I like your wheels. Gold looks good with red! I like the red on the car too.
I have a silver\gold (depending on the light) C70. I'm looking for two "Canisto"replacements. My daughter drives the car to school and bent the rims on a road hazard. I'm new to the forum and am looking for a good steer on replacing the wheels... economically if possible. Yeah, sometimes that isn't possible with this car. It seems to be a money pit at times.

You still debating the skyline mod? I'm really curious to see it, if you go through with it! Great experimentation/modding so far!

 

in my head i'm just seeing this as a body kit mod that won't mess up the bodylines of the car. if i get real crazy i'll get the actual taillights from the skyline R34 and mold them in.....but i'm not sure i wanna go that far yet.

i just installed a 7" touch screen LCD MP3, DVD head unit...i'll post pics tomorrow.

how are you Tipsp, i haven't decided if i should go through with it yet for a few reasons,

1. the bumper would be rediculosly low to the ground and i'm sure would be destroyed in 2 heartbeats.

2. the paint on the car is horrible to say the least and i should do this when i can afford to get the whole car painted.

3. i have oil leaks coming from the cam seals, front and rear. i need to get that fixed first or i won't have an engine.

i would also like to modify my hood first before doing this kit, but in any case you guys will be the first to know when i start cutting the car apart
