Help!, Heavy engine vibrate with posible misses.
99 Volvo S40 MK1
I recently noticed on low RPM when I paddle for gas, the engine was kind of missing a little bit. Couple of days back problem got worst and I heard engine kept knocking and it sounded bit strange (like a truck engine)
- There's no warning lights on dashboard. Scanned the ECU for error codes, But found 0. If its misfire, computer should notice that right?
- Is this bad fuel problem?
- Checked the plug and coil connection area, there was an old oil spill there which happened long time a go (like a year ago), still got some moisture. I assume if it shorts the circuit, a misfire should appear and 'Check Engine Light' should come ON right?
Any suggestions are really appreciated to troubleshoot this issue.
