you cant just start taking turbos and such off of jap cars and putting them on your s40, if you wanted a rice burner you shouldnt have gotten the s40...for turbo upgrades with your s40 you can upgrade to the mitsu 14t turbo which is a direct bolt on...or you can get a 16g which would need a new flange for the turbo and definitely new exhaust....
jrgillespie- you would need to buy a manual boost controller and you can adjust your boost accordingly as long as you have a boost gauge.

This is my school car. My neon will smoke any volvo on the road. Thats why I got the volvo. I wont want to race and beat a slow car. I need more power for the highway and passing. The car is slow. I know all about turbos... Blah blah blah. The turbos you are talking about are for kids.
That comment was for jordaninabox

you apparently dont have a clue as to what your talking about. In order to slap on a garret turbo or whatever you would put on your neon you need to do heavy mods to your s40. You should know that your s40 doesnt run off of headers but we have an exhaust manifold...most turbos don't directly fit onto our manifolds...and if you were to put a 14t on your car or even go to a 16g you would have more power than you know what to do with. I'm quite offended that your going to come on here as a newbie and tell me that the turbo's ive mentioned arent going to do it....if you go to s40 concepts.com you wont find any other mention of different turbos other than what I'm talking about. Ignorance is bliss, good luck.

and i totally understand that...I understand that hes driving a srt-4(ladi di da!!!!)....and yes mitsu turbos arent what I would go to if I was driving a jap car or even an american car, but what he thinks is that any other s40 owner will tell him go ahead get this size turbo from turbonetics or garret and get this setup and you'll be ready to go...he shouldve done his research regarding modding these cars before he decided to get one...maybe I'm overreacting, but its one of my pet peeves whena newbie comes on here all cocky and asks people for help and then pretty much has an answer for everything...im done with this thread...but have a good one guys!

Shrug it off. He can try what he wants. He just needs to realize to get it to work right he needs money.
