Default Overhead Light console

The clips on my overhead night console all broke off and was just hanging when i walked out of work one day. Anyone know where I can just buy the plastic housing? Components and electronics are still working so i only need the plastic housing.

That just happened to mine, too. I found a used one on Ebay. It's a slightly different configuration (has a sunroof button, while my car doesn't have a sunroof), but I figure that I can reuse just the plastic housing and relocate the actual electronics into the new housing. I think it cost about $65 delivered. There should be plenty in parts yards, as well (if you're not too picky about color, especially).

Ebay prices will be double/even triple what it will cost you to visit the closest “pick-your-own” wreckyard. Just head over and rip one out. Will likely cost you no more than $5.

The boneyards around here would charge a LOT more than $5 for an overhead console, FWIW... still cheaper, but when I factor in the time and effort, the $55 (I just checked) I paid was a relative bargain, especially since I can likely sell the sunroof switch and maybe other bits I didn't need.

FWIW, I bought a sunroof version of the panel (I couldn't find a non-SR panel), and it took me 5-10 minutes to swap over the black trim panel and remove the sunroof switch. Now I have an un-cracked console that's flush against the headliner. Speaking of which, one of the problems that the previous owner / mechanic had installing the old console was that the headliner material was cut sloppy, and obscured the female catches for the plastic tabs, which (I suspect) caused them to snap off when he tried to force the panel into place. I trimmed the headliner up with a razor knife, and the "new" one went in like butter...
