2002 T5 sunroof leak.
I'm sure somone on here has had this.. mostly on passenger side.. entire ceiling soaked after rain.. even running down the passenger piller by the window.. is this a simple fix? Or would i have to take it somewhere?
I would take it to a shop that does upholstery and installs sun roof...i.e. seats, replaces headliners in cars, they can drop down your headliner and use a hose to see where it is leaking, they should also be able fix it for you...I am not sure how much it would cost but my friend has a shop and they also install sun roofs and they found and fix a leak I had in my wifes Explorer......hopefully you have a shop like this near you and they can find and fix your leak! I hope this helps
Usually one of two problems, blocked drain or leaking seal. Slide the shade back and put some water on it. If u see it leaking on the glass it's likely the seal. If you can't see the leak, likely the drain is clogged. Then clear the drain. You can also open the roof and pour a cup of water in the track to see if the drain is clogged.
