Have a 2001 S60, 75k miles. When I put the key in, sometimes the ignition switch won't turn. I jiggle the steering wheel and also the key in the ignition, but the ignition is locked up. Eventually, I seem to find the right spot while jiggling the key and the switch turns. I'm afraid this will continue to get worse.If I have to start putting a lot of money into it, I may sell it. Is this a common problem? Any recommended fixes?

 

Common problem and it needs a lock cylinder assembly. The entire assembly.
