Transmission Trouble ???
Hello, Have a 2004 S-60 with 135000 miles. It is a T5, automatic. Couple of days ago I realized it wasn't shifting into overdrive. Had the transmission flushed today, has not made a difference at this point. Fluid was slightly brown in color but was not burnt. Any thing else I can do before I call a dealer?
Which ATF did you replace with?
Should be JWS 3309 spec'd. Mobil 3309 , Toyota T-IV for an Aisin Warner transmission.
Another new equiv' mentioned recently and made for AW transmissions (toyota manuf) is Idemisu Type TLS.
see website link below for data sheets, applications etc.

According to their website spec's it is okay. Universal Synthetic.

List includes Aisin transmissions and Volvo 3309 / T-IV.
Some members swear by synthetic fluid for their Volvo whereas others stick to traditional ATF. Maybe it is that making the difference.
What is recommended in your owners handbook.
Power flushing is not great for higher mileage transmissions and creates problems. Simple 'drain and fill' is gentler and seems to improve shifting in many higher mileage Volvo's.
