Front Dashboard Speakers?

You might be able to pop the speaker grills off and replace them that way.... They make a hooked tool that kind of looks like something you'd see at your dentists office (a small screw driver would work also) to pulls covers off. Never done it to the dash speakers or in a Volvo for that matter so I'm not sure if it's that simple, just a thought!

In the '98 model the dash locations house a 1.25" tweeter on a plastic bezel. The grille is simply a pop off (use some finesse). As a previous poster mentioned a pick tool or a scribe tool or a very small flat head screw driver will be a good device for gently prying the edge of the grille to get it to initially pop up. If your car has the "upgraded" volvo sound system it will actually have 8 speakers in the car (10 if you ask Volvo...) 2ea tweeters in the dash, 2ea 6.5" mids in the front doors, 2ea 6.5" full range in the rear doors and 2ea 8" with coaxially mounted tweeters in the rear deck...

I found this post by doing a search on Mercedes E-Class w124 speakers.
Does anyone know where to get replacement speakers for my e-class front dash and back? I read about Rainbow Audio drop in replacement IQ Line and would like to find something onlineā¦
Does anyone know of an online shop that have these w124 speakers in stock?
Does anyone have any feedback on the sound quality of Rainbow IQ?
