I purchased a '98 S70 T5 Limited Edition in June. The car has 115,000 miles on it and is in good condition appearance wise. Black exterior/Black & Suede interior, w/center speaker on the dash (like the C70). Soon after buying the car I noticed a large puff of white smoke coming from the tailpipe only on the initial startup in the morning or after letting it sit for several hours. It does not blow out any smoke on acceleration. I had a new turbo installed w/an "R" manifold and it did not fix the problem. Now the dealer suspects it could be a head gasket. Since owning the car the following has been done:

Volvo 16T Turbo
Heater Core
Torque Mount
Right Motor Mount
Replaced stock grille w/Cross Country
Cam seals
Antenna
Iat Sensor/Thermostat
Air Cleaner air duct

I want to sell it....How much is it worth

 

Depends on the shape and if it needs any major work, which looks like it does. I think it's probably worth $1500-$2500. Have you tried trading it in?

 

Yea $1500 to $3000 sounds right.

 

NADA Guides says ave trade in is $3,050. With it smoking take anything above 2k. Has the PCV system been replaced lately?

 

About $1,000 dollars; who do I need to make the check out too and where do you live?

Seriously though if it is running fine and no problems it is probably something simple. Any dash lights coming on. I would suspect turbo seals (if the 16T was used).
