Default oil leaking on to exhaust

I recently bought an s70 its pretty nice as far as they go, but initially everything was fine and then after a few minutes on the interstate I noticed a oil burning smell, and a little bit of smoke coming from the rear on the engine. I had a similar problem with my 850 and the flame trap coming through the engine wall was plugged and the tubing was shot. I wonder if I am at the same place again, Plugged and causing pressure blowing out a little bit of oil and hitting the exhaust. Any pertinent replies are welcome. Its 20 degrees out so I probably am no going to tackle it today, I just want to get ready. First step is wash everything really good with degreaser while cold to see if I can see exactly whee its coming from.

The oil cap seal can leak, fills up the waffle under the spark plug cover, and leaks out of the divot in the rear of the top of the head onto the exhaust manifold. If there's oil on top of the head a few dollar oil cap seal might fix it.

Certainly a clogged pcv system makes things worse

if its a turbo, it could also be a turbo oil return line seal. there's no $.10 part that can make more of a mess :-)
