When Do Engine Codes Reset?
My 98 S70 failed acityinspection today, because the engine codes/monitors have notreset since I had an emissions issue fixed at a Volvo service center. But that service took place five weeks and over 1,000 miles ago. How long might I have to wait for the codes to reset? Can I reset them myself?
The inspection report reads: "Monitors Not Ready: Catalyst, Evaporative System, Secondary Air System, Oxygen Sensor, Heated Oxygen Sensor, EGR System."

RE: When Do Engine Codes Reset?
Engine codes generally reset themselves when they have met there certain criteria for the specific problem. The EVAP system will probably take the longest to reset, especially if you do alot of city driving. U can take and they can force auto reset on your vehicle at the dealership. EGR? Do you have a turbo model? If not, they should be excluding the EGR monitor, I suppose the shop you went to opened a book?lol
