I have 176k on my 99 70 and I have had suspension noise for the longest time and I finally had a chance to fix it. 2 lower control and sway bars links later and it is back, that solid Volvo feel. It feels sooo good. Now to tackle a slight motor vibration which is one of the motor mounts. If anybody needs help with install don't hesitate.

 

Did you replace the lower control arms? What torque settings did you use for the inner part of the control arms? I've had such a problem with suspension noise not sure if it's the struts or control arms.
