08 S80 tensioner pulley
I have been doing some reading on here about this but am still a bit unclear. A friend of mine actually owns the car, the tensioner pulley froze and actually broke the pulley. We are also questioning the power steering pump, should this spin easily or not? I can move it by pushing it with a long screw driver from above but it always wants to go back as if its spring loaded. Is this normal? Ok, so back to the tensioner, how the heck do I get it off? and once I replace it I don't see how to work the tensioner to get the new belt on? Do I need to remove the air tube? How in the world do I do that! I cant even see what's holding it to the throttle body. Any help is Greatly appreciated!

Removing the tensioner is actually easier to replace than it looks.
You are going to remove the air box.
Next take the front battery cover out and battery ( you don't have to take it out, I do because it gives you Kore room)
If you want more room you can take the brake vacuum pump out as well.
Now with all the room you are going to see a part of the tensioner where you can stick the open end of a 19mm wrench on it. Force the tensioner down to make slack on the belt and stick a pin in the hole to keep it from springing back.
Next remove the AC compressor and then the 10 mm bolt for the tensioner is located below the compressor.
