Default Lit hazard button?

Ok, please don't laugh.
I purchased a 2010 S80 a couple of days ago and the hazard button is backlit red. It's not flashing, nor are the hazard lights on. Is this button supposed to be lit or should it be dark until engaged?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, it should be lit up red, this is typical on most European cars.
