Replacing the Inner Tie Rods - Should I Do Any Other Work While I am There
I had my dealer replace my outer tie rods less than a year ago. I took my car in for an oil change last week and he tells me I need new inner tie rods. He wants like $700 to replace and do the alignment.
I think, I am going to do it myself (obviously not the alignment).
I saw Bigern45's post here: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-s80-18/changing-inner-tie-rod-21416/
I have a few questions.
1) Anything else I need to know about the inners?
2) Should I replace the outers while I am at it?
3) Anything else I should consider while it's apart?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Eric

The warranty would cover the "outer" tie rods. I need "inners."
I am just wondering if I should do the "inner" and the "outers" since I have the thing taken apart.
What about the the ball joints - should I consider doing them?
