S80 dash board died, dealer doesn't know
My 2000 S80 suddenly lost power to the dash board, all gages are showing zero and a messahe come up "brake failure stop safely ASAP". I was able to drive it, everything else seem ok. dealer could not find any faults. Next day again suddenly same thing but this time the engine is reving down to almost stolling and up again every 3 seconds, only when stopped at lights, not while driving. The dealer has had the car now for one week, so far charged me for 20 hrs of diagnostics and no answer. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

I have the same car...with the same problem, except I didn't bring it to the dealer so they could rip me off another $1000. The ABS is the place to look. There is a company in Mass that rebuilds them for short money (under $100) and you can remove/replace it yourself. Dealer wants over $900 for the unit. Tell me this, even though the rest of the gauges fail, does the gas gauge still work?

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I can not recal if Gas gauge worked or not but I believe it did. Finally after $2,000. the dealer replaced the CEM (Central electronic Module) I believe it's called. Works now, but I traded it two days later. I have had 3 Volvos and all have been extremely expensive to repair. Thank you for your input.
