Default Timing belt, vvt, code p1014

Hi everyone. Hopefully I find some help here.
I have a 2001 V40 2.0 turbo, and recently I renewed the cylinder head. All worked fine, the car runs ok, but: The MIL is lit, and it tells me code p1014, which means CMP Sensor/CKP Sensor Signals Not Compatible.
Since I made sure the wheels are all on the right positions, all marks align with their counterparts in position 12 oīclock, I guess I must have put the wheel with the vtt in the wrong position. I did never remove the wheel from the camshaft.
Will it be possible to loosen the timing belt, put the vtt back into the proper position and fix it back? and which will be the proper position?

Iīll be thankful for any hint.

(please excuse me if my english is not perfect, itīs not my native language )

Thomas

edit: I read some other threads about the subject in the meantime. Still, Iīm not really sure if I got it right. What I suppose is, that, when I put the new belt on, the vvt pulley showed the right position in terms of the marks, but the cam itself was turned a little. When the belt is off, you can turn the vvt a little without moving the cam, so, how do I find the right position? Somewhere I read itīs about 1.5 teeth to the left, somewhere I read itīs to the right, so, Iīm kinda confused.

Hi guys,
I know this is an old thread but does someone know what's the easiest way to fix this 'vvt home position' problem?
When the cams are locked at the back, to which side am I supposed to turn the timing gear on the vvt unit? Clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Thx
André

turn until the marks on the wheel and on the plastic cover match, overturn clockwise about 90°, turn back until the marks match again. Then mount the tool to block the camshafts (see attachement; u donīt need to buy the tool in case u donīt have it alrdy)

(I sent u a pm, got some more instructions that I cannot post here due to file size)

(btw... why is no1 answering here? is this forum dead?)

Hi again,
Yes the 'check engine light' didn't come back on again but there's still another issue - when the car is started from cold it wil begin to overfuel/smoke just before it reaches normal engine temperature and then after normal temperature has been reached, it stops smoking.
Any ideas what could cause this?

Some smoke with cold engine is quite normal, since u can see the steam of the water falling out when fuel is burned.
Other possibilities: Temperature sensor showing too low values, making the ecu overfuel, mass airflow sensor faulty.

HELP!!! I am trying to find the Camshaft Position Sensor on a 2000 V40 w/ 1.9 Turbo.
I have Haynes Manual (Chilton is not available) & where it seems it should be, same side as the battery & there is a round plug there about 2" dia. (?) & bolt holes, 2 about 3/16"-1/4" (?), but No Sensor or wires. Any images/pics would help. Thanks!

It's at the end of the exhaust cam, which is the one closest to the firewall. Screws onto the cylinder head & engages with the exhaust cam.
