Random Alarm Triggered
My 2005 been V50 alarm has randomly been going off (lights flashing, alarm sounding). Message on dash "Alarm triggered ...).
When I fault trace it with VIDA the cause for the alarm is the LR door. I have tested all functions of the door and everything works normally, opened, closed, while moving the door.
It seems to be related to the vehicle getting warmed by the sun on the left side in the afternoon.
Yesterday it went off (alarm sounded), I reset using just the remote (unlocked doors then relocked). It went off two more times after which I opened the LR door and reclosed it, reset the alarm. It has not happened since ( one day).
This has been going on for months.
I suspect it may be the LR door harness.
