tech, what effect will the 40-70 oil have on the Engine..

 

None at all Might act a little different in the Cold weather. Maybe harder to start.

 

Been driving for over one week, about 600km in and out of traffic , no oil light, i think im safe.
Tech, the dealer used 5-30 synthetic oil when it went in with the oil light on, its got 40-70 now .
I have never used oil this light/ thin, i normally use a 10-40 semi synthetic, or 15-40 valvoline engine armour. Do you think i should try to put a lighter oil in ? or do you think the light will come back on... was the dealer oil to thin for a motor with 90,000km..thus it created no oil pressure, this question has been on my mind for 1 week now.

I think you will be fine for now with that.
If you want to go a little lighter next oil change and see what happens.

 

**UPDATE** Well iv'e done 3,000km since all the oil pressure problems....
No light as yet... car running well, Ill keep you all posted..
