Volvo V70 Super capacity, super looks, super performance... this wagon turns heads and can still get the job done.

Default Question from an upgrading 850 owner.

I am looking at a 1998 v70 AWD with 180k miles. Just had timing belt and water pump and heater core replaced on it. Sounds like it runs smooth. Only thing is the drivetrain sounds a little louder than my 850... The oil was a nice golden brown. The guy is selling for $3000.

Does this sound like a good deal and what things should I check, look or listen for?

Also on all the doors cept the driver and hatch it most the times doesnt lock or unlock. Is this common and is it an easy fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Tech if you are on I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks

Me I hate AWD cars because the driveshafts always go bad.
For the locks sounds like bad lock assembly's.

Make sure the vent system is clean.

It does not sound like a bad deal overall though.
