I have a 2010 XC60 and recently lost functionality of the drivers side window and mirror controls. I have verified power to the door control switch. All other doors have functioning windows.
Probably, there's a fault within the control switch itself or perhaps a wiring issue specific to the driver's side door. I suggest checking the wiring for any damage. Since the other doors are working fine, the issue is probably just with the driver's side.
But, maybe, take a look at the switch and its connections too.

I think the fault lies in the switch although it’s hard to believe why it would fail. There is power going into the switch. I’ve ordered a new one so hopefully it’s money well spent. I got the got very cheaply and I want to get it to the point I can depend on it. I’ve got a pending transmission fluid change and I want to change the bearings in the rear differential. The AC compressor needs to be replaced so I will change the serpentine belt at the same time.
thanks so much for your input..!
It is most likely the switch. It may have gotten some moisture in it and very slowly corroded some tiny connection inside. In this case, the connections to the drivers side.

Still problems with the DS front mirror and window control
I put a new switch in and the problem persists. I looked for broken wires inside the door and still nothing. I tested and found power on a green/white wire. Got a strong signal on wire going to the unit door control front module but a week signal on the wire going from the module back to the switch connector. Maybe the door module is defective?? Thoughts? This is the door control module
The master window/mirror switch operates using a LIN bus to communicate the switch movements to the DDM. All of that info is communicated back to the CEM using a CAN bus. (with a compatible scan tool, you can move windows by talking to the CEM)
So - if there is a break in a network wire from the DDM - nothing the DDM controls will work. (Is that the case? - no switches work on the master windows/mirror switch?) A common place to have a failure is where the wires bend when the door is opened/closed.
I would check for continuity on the can bus wires from connector 74/507 to the DDM. Specifically is the wire continuous from terminal c2:3 on the DDM to terminal 1 on 74/507 (a grey with OG wire) and from terminal c2:15 on the DDM to terminal 1 on 74/507 (a violet/OG wire)? And if OK I would check the LIN network wire going to 74/507 from the DDM. That would be from terminal 4 on 74/507 to terminal c1:20 on the DDM (a green and white wire) c1 and c2 refer to different plugs on the DDM.
I have inspected the wiring inside the rubber boot but did not find any broken wires. I did find the large black wire with the plastic covering open exposing the wire. Not sure is this could be problematic but I will tape it. I wish I could get pdf copies of the schematics you sent because I can’t enlarge them to read with clarity. I’ve attached a picture of the frayed wire.
