I have a 2001 XC V70 and I want to tint the windows. I contacted a couple window tinting companies about doing my car. They pointed out that my rear windows have little black bumps near the edges of the window. They say the tinting sticker doesn't grab to the glass real well in those areas because of the black bumps. Has anyone tinted a volvo that had those black bumps on the edges of the windows? I was told by the dealer that those bumps are supposed to act as some sort of tint. My car gets extremely hot with all the windows. I was also told that it could be done but the outcome may not be great.

 

I have a 1999 s70 awd, it has those little black round bumps.

I don't think they deal with tinting, I believe they are little defrosters, but I could be wrong.

On topic here I have tint on my windows front and back. I have had no problems with the tint peeling off or anything and I have had it for almost a full year now. Just get it done you will enjoy it.
