Thought I would see if anyone has any insight and wanted check my own theory against others. For the last few days my dash lights are being a bit wonky with some of the numbers and such being only partially lit. For example the D in drive or the R in reverse being half lit up, and part of the odometer and trip meter being unlit. I can just give the cluster a little tap with my fingers and it usually lights all the way back up for a good while.

Does this sound like maybe I got a bulb going out that needs replaced? I am wondering if by tapping the cluster screen, maybe it's jiggling the filaments inside whatever bulb or bulbs it might be and making a connection again for a while.

I watched a couple videos on replacing the bulbs and it looks like a fairly uncomplicated task, but didn't want to get into it if the bulbs are not the issue. Truth be told, if it's something else I probably wont even bother fixing it. At this point it is like death by 1000 cuts with this vehicle, and as soon as i fix or replace one thing, some other non essential or annoying thing has something go wrong. First is was my blower fan for my heater and AC, fixed that and then my sunroof went off track and broke some of the plastic track. Fixed that and my master cylinder decided it needed to go out. Fixed that and the passenger side mirror fell off 3 day later. Fixed that and then my window regulator went out and got the cable tangled beyond help another month down the road. Fixed that, and now my dash lights are acting funny.

this is mostly stuff that does not render it unusable but it's still annoying all the same.
