Default Head Light Assembly

We have a 2019 XC90 T5 and this past week we experienced the all the left side lights on the car blink constantly. I took the car to the dealership, and they said that it needed a front headlight assembly, control unit, and HCM reload. The car dash was reading "left turn indicator malfunction". All of this totaling over $5000. I find this price outrageous and really considering trading the car in. We purchased the car from Carmax and bought an extended warranty and according to the warranty the headlight isn't covered under this warranty.

HELP PLEASE!!!

are you planning on doing the work yourself or are you going to seek out an indy shop? Have you tried searching for used parts? I'd do a few things 1) shop dealer stores like Tasca Parts to fing the genuine Volvo part numbers. Online stores will also price at a discount vs dealer work quotes. 2) check Volvo friendly yards like Erie VoVo to see if they have any 2019 XC90s for parts. 3) Search other yards via Car-part.com 4) Get that second opinion from shop...

I agree with a previous comment and also think that before deciding to trade in your car, ask another mechanic or car expert for their opinion. They could have different ideas to fix the problem that could save you money.
You can also try fixing it yourself. Sometimes, it's a simple problem like a loose wire or a bad bulb. Look in your car manual or online for tips on fixing common electrical problems.
