Question New To Volvo, Could Use Some Help

I am looking into purchasing an 06 XC90 and I have tried to do some research but would like some expert advice on the codes I know the vehicle has and if they are anything major and I should stay away from the vehicle. The obd2 codes I got were P0170 which I could not find a volvo translation for then there was the P0036 which I believe translate to ECM-223B, also P0303 which translate to ECM-3230 and the last one P2108 which translate to ECM-9290. The last one seems to worry me the most but I need your help. It is greatly appreciated.

Sorry Ryan--I don't have code translations / info. I just got back on these boards after bout three years and responses seem SLOW. LOL. Would checking with Reillys or parts store like that help you with diagnostics? Did that previously with my old 98 v70xc and they could always tell me. Best luck and welcome. I'm sure one of the egg-sperts will answer shortly. .

I'd have to look into them at work tomorrow. I'll check into it if we aren't busy.

Thank you I'd really appreciate it as I am deciding tonight or tomorrow if I am going to buy it.

P0136 is likely a rear oxygen sensor.
P0303 is a misfire in cylinder 3. Possibly needs a coil and spark plugs.
P2108 could be a dirty or damaged throttle or a software issue.

I got nothin for the P0170

ES6T--this is way outside my knowledge but just a thought. Is it possible that it's the diagnostic tester that's the culprit? My old xc70 had a mystery code that came up with the independent's tester, but the dealer's unit never showed that same code.

It's a generic scanner so who knows. When I diagnose a car, I go by what VIDA shows, and I've never had an issue.

I really appreciate everyone's help. It makes me more at ease going to look at it. If everything goes well I will be the new owner. I'll keep everyone updated if I get. Have a great weekend!

Default 2005 XC90 2.5T with 91K miles

Hi guys, I haven`t been here in like two years since I sold my 04 S60. I just purchased a 2005 XC90 2.5T FWD with 91K miles and I am a little concerned. The price was good for the miles but after driving it for 2-3 days I`ve noticed a couple things.
1. At high speeds the car seems to be a little instable. After reading some forums I`m guessing it would be the lower control arms. No knocking at all, maybe a little bit at sudden, hard braking.
2. I have a little rough idle. My first guess is cleaning the throttle body. I did this on my S60 and I hope it will help on this one too.
3. The third issue worries me the most. In Drive when I give gas sometimes the pull comes with a little delay and it also kicks. It is especially noticeable when I drive in traffic, when I give gas and let the pedal go and give gas again. I am still hoping it could be related to the upper motor mount because it looks like it is on the way out. But at around 75-80mph there is a little hesitation. It feels more like when the coils were acting up in my S60.
No CEL on this one though which I find a little surprising after all these issues.

Any ideas on any of my problems? What else should I check? Also, could it be that a tranny flush is due? Does the torque converter prone to fail on these Volvos? Any other major tranny issues?
Thanks
