XC90 Nightmare
#61
I haven't had any misfire problems since getting a new crankshaft position sensor (a shop had put one in that was not OEM about a month prior) and Volvo branded spark plugs rather than NGK. We did the repair at the same time, so I'm not sure which was the actual problem, but both had been replaced during the course of diagnostics, just with non OEM parts, and the problem persisted.
I bought and paid for the labor for someone to install a exhaust manifold from Erie (about $1000 in total) and the check engine light came the same as it always does, for the bank 2 catalytic converter. I got another waiver for registration this year since I live in an emission county.
My car still has a stutter at 1500-2000 rpms if I'm casually driving. If I speed up, or slow down, it stops. I'm too scared to even try looking into that problem because I don't have thousands (more) to drop into this car.
