Hi all, just purchased a 98 V70 AWD. Love the car but there seems to be a vibration at around 60 miles per hour, actually it feels like driving on a rough roadway. Once I hit around 65, the ride smooths out again. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Could be wheels out of balance.
Could be a bad tire.
Could be a bad driveshaft.

 

Could a bad tire/out of balance tire cause this conditions just between 55 and 65 MPH? Thanks

 

Yes - Out of balance almost alway causes vibration at around 55 to 60 mph. Might also be a bent wheel. I have one and it gets worse at higher speed though. I would have the tires balanced and they will let you know if you have a bad tire or bent wheel if you go to a good tire place. I use NTB.

 

Had the tires balanced and checked for bends. Unfortunately, the vibration still exists. Was told maybe a motor mount? Does this sound right?

Motor mount installed probably about $160.00 or so Driveshaft about $1600.00 to $2000,00 installed.
