Hi all,

Back again with another query... My driver side door refuses to lock. The lock switch refuses to go down, and turn the key in the door does nothing. It will turn, but nothing engages, the switch won't drop, and it doesn't lock. It likely has something to do with the dent where another car crashed into the driver side door -- is this something I can repair on my own? Will I need a new lock assembly? Hoping one of you has some advice around this.

 

Most likely, yes. Hard to say exactly what happened but probably the rod came off and needs to be reattached. Take the door panel and see what's going on...
