I called my local dealer to see if they have valve shims for my 86 240. They said they no longer carry them . I see that ipd has a reshim kit but it's over 200$. Is this my only option?

 

That is a rental cost. You get back what you don't use.


And the other option is post a wanted add at turbobricks.
I believe several members stock up on valve shims for various reason.

You need to measure what you got, find out what you need and then post up what you want to buy.

 

O mean the reshim kit is just a rental and the extras aren't mine to keep and it cost 220.00???? That's not fair. I figured if I bought the kit it would be mine?

I think you can buy it for the price. you just don't return it... Have to call and ask. I don't remember the options from them.

 

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't see that on iPd web site. At least they have them!
