Default 1993 850 glt radio

Hi Guys,

I returned from vacation and my battery was flat. I charged it up but now my radio is asking for a code which I do not have.

I did read somewhere to search for any four digit codes on my handbook etc. I did find some but none worked. Now my radio just says OFF.

Also I found a couple of 4 digit numbers that had a 0 or 9 in them. How do I input these when my numbers only go up to 6.

Thanks in advance. I feel bad as I only ask for help but can't ever help anyone else on here as I am about as much use as a chocolate fire guard when it comes to cars.

Thanks

Take your VIN number and go to the dealer. He will be able to look up your code for you.

You need to go to the dealership,, I had the same thing, but if it says off, then once the batt is charged you leave the ignition on until the word "code" comes on, it may take up to a couple hours, but should happen within 30 minutes...if you call they will tell you to fax a copy of the registration and they will get back to you in a day...if you go and talk nice they will find out in 10 minutes and give it to you free....I went and punched in the code on the way out of the driveway and all my presets were still on, but mine didnt say "off" that happened to a neighbor so I dont know if it stores the presets or not...Rog

I have called in and got the code before. I have never paid for it. One thing I would recommend is writing it on the radio somewhere. Sure your thinking why should I do that then the thief will have the code. My answer to that is what do you care...your radio is gone. Do you think they are going to return it cuz they dont have the code?? ;-)
