Removed the volvo slash and masked around the chrome. Bead blasted lightly to scuff it up then simply used Krylon satin black. Put the R on the recessed plate and the slash back on.

Ok. How has it held up for you? I went straight to plastidipping mine and it's working so far. My tape job wasn't perfect but it looks good from afar
